The Name Of Jesus
February 4, 2013And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in the name of Jesus. Sin can’t be overcome by self help, philosophy, or good works. It’s conquered only by receiving Jesus who shed His blood and paid the penalty for us.
Whatever you ask in My Name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My Name, I will do it. John 14:13-14
All of our spiritual authority comes to us because of what Jesus has done. We have the right to enter into the presence of God on the basis of the name of Jesus (Hebrews 10:19-22). Our prayers get their power from the name of Jesus.
Jesus’ name is exalted above every other name (Philippians 2:9-11). It’s above the name of every sickness, above the name of every principality and demon (Mark 16:17). When you speak in the name of Jesus, darkness has to flee.
Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My Name, I am there in their midst. Matthew 18:19-20
Jesus is the most beautiful word that will ever roll off your lips. Use the name of Jesus to cut through the bondage and unhappiness that try to pull you down. Let the truth of God’s Word break the chains that are hindering you right now. Study the meaning of Jesus’ name, think about it, meditate on it. He is your Savior (Matthew 1:21), your Deliverer (Romans 11:26), and your Redeemer (Isaiah 59:20).
I love the name of Jesus!
