WHO WE ARE

OUR CHURCH FAMILY IS MADE UP OF…

…brand new babies, toddlers, preteens, teenagers, young marrieds, singles, middle-aged adults, and seniors who have been through so much and experienced the richness of life. God has designed all of us to be the expression of St. Louis Family Church, where we are together serving, connecting, and flowing as one body. This is how they’ll know we’re Jesus’ disciples — that we have love for one another (John 13:35).

HISTORY

“40 years ago God told me to build a home base from which to reach to nations of the world.” ~ Pastor Jeff Perry

HONOR GOD. HELP PEOPLE.

This phrase dropped into Pastor Jeff’s heart as he was seeking God in his early 20s, and it’s been the target ever since. When Pastor Jeff and Pastor Patsy were in Bible school, Pastor Jeff wrote these words in the back of his Bible: “Honor God and Help People — that’s my primary job.” And that has been our motto, goal, and target ever since. We are grateful to Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our faith. He is the one who has seen us through and is going to continue to see us through!

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe the entire Bible to be the inspired, infallible Word of God, the revelation of God’s will for man and the divine and final authority for the Christian life. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who is revealed in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Deuteronomy 6:4; John 15:26

We acknowledge Jesus as fully God and fully man — conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, crucified, and resurrected — our High Priest and Advocate now seated at the right hand of God the Father. Matthew 1:18; Hebrews 12:2

We believe in having a personal relationship with Jesus by asking Him into your heart. It’s salvation and forgiveness of sins through the shed blood of Jesus, acknowledging every person’s need for the grace and mercy of God. We all have sinned. We all need Jesus. Romans 3:23-24; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:3; 1 John 1:9

We believe that there is a heaven and a hell. There is only one way to get to heaven and that is receiving Jesus into your heart. John 14:1-3; 1 John 5:11; Revelation 20:15

We baptize in water all those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ and who desire to publicly identify with Him, in accordance with the Bible’s command. Matthew 28:19; Acts 8:36-39; Romans 6:4

We believe in the present supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose purpose is to glorify Jesus Christ and instruct and empower every believer for godly living and service. John 16:13-14; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11

We believe that the baptism with the Holy Spirit is a promise from God for every believer and is for today. Speaking in tongues, as the Holy Spirit gives utterance, is a physical indication of the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 3:11 Matthew 3:11; Acts 2:4, 38-39, 19:4-6

We receive Communion to remember Jesus’ sacrifice when He died on the Cross and to celebrate His resurrection power. Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

We believe Jesus is coming back and that His appearance will be accompanied by a bodily resurrection of those who have died in Jesus. Matthew 24:29-31; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

We believe that Jesus is the Healer and healing is for today. Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:16-17; James 5:14-15; 1 Peter 2:24

We believe in the power and effectiveness of prayer. Philippians 4:6-7; James 5:15-16

We believe in God’s amazing plan for each of His followers to honor God and help people. Matthew 5:16, 25:40; Jeremiah 29:11

BAPTISM

Water baptism is an acknowledgement of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and it’s your identification with Him. We believe in a believer’s baptism, where you are aware of what you’re doing and there is a presence of belief. The Bible says in Mark 16:16 that “He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved” (NASB1995). Water Baptism will have an impact on your spiritual life. It’s an act of obedience that pleases God! Our water baptisms take place during the 7:30 PM service on the second Friday of the month. A class is available before the baptism service, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM in the Worship Center Prayer Room. To register, call the office at 636.532.3446. Please Note: Ages 17 and under must have a parent-signed form to participate.

BABY DEDICATION

We are a multigenerational church and we support one another in Baby Dedication. It takes place during a Sunday service when we can all come together to believe God for a child’s life and purpose.

“I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him.” 1 Samuel 1:27 NIV

RECEIVE JESUS

What we see as failure, God sees as future. What we see as hopelessness, He sees as a new beginning. There’s stability in Jesus. He’s going to meet you where you are in the scariest situation that you face.

HOW CAN I BECOME A CHRISTIAN?

You can receive Jesus into your life any time. Don’t wait another day! The Bible says, “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13). To receive Jesus, pray: “Dear God, in my heart I believe that Jesus truly is Your Son, and that He died for my sins and He rose from the dead. I repent for every time I have sinned. I accept Jesus into my life right now, to lead and guide me as my Lord. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”
