Stable and Fixed

October 27, 2017

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. Psalm 91:1 AMPC

1. THE SECRET PLACE. We have a breathtaking invitation into a close relationship with God. There is a secret place where we can draw near to Him and know Him; where we will become stabilized and immovable against any pressure or enemy.

But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. Matthew 6:6

2. THE SWEET SPOT. Like the beauty of when a baseball connects to a bat’s sweet spot, an amazing connection with God is available. This isn’t some idealized spirituality for those removed from the daily pressures of life (that’s no one)! We all have an invitation from the Lord to draw near to Him on a daily basis—in the middle of our grind, in the middle of our battle—and He will draw near to us (James 4:8a).

3. THE SEEKING HEART. Jesus is standing at the door knocking, and when you seek, you will find (Revelation 3:20, Matthew 7:7). Press past the lies of the devil, and the circumstances of life that try to choke the truth of God’s Word. If you want God, if you want to know Him more, cry out and He will answer.

Press on,
Pastor Jeff Perry

DAILY CONFESSION
I dwell in the secret place of the Most High and I remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). I ask, and it will be given to me; I seek, and I will find; I knock, and the door will be opened to me (Matthew 7:7).
