It is God himself whose power creates in you both the desire and the power to execute His gracious will. Philippians 2:13 Weymouth
YOUR HELP COMES FROM THE LORD. Any Christian who has taken on any kind of responsibility knows that we can’t do it alone—our help comes from God (Psalm 121:2). God never gets weary. When you hang out with Him, His likeness rubs off on you, His strength gets into you. That’s why we must take time to connect with the power source.
DAILY GRIND & QUANTUM LEAPS. Enjoy the daily routine while preparing for big breakthrough. In the Bible, Joseph worked faithfully in his daily life, but then came the moment where he was prepared to help save a nation from starvation. God is holistic: our domestic life, our spiritual life, our daily life, and our big moments all work together. Instead of being afraid that you’re going to miss out, thrive where you are right now—in your job, in your family—and realize that God has a plan for your life.
GOD’S POWER IS AT WORK IN YOU. Look at God’s work—whatever He starts He completes (Philippians 1:6). He calls us His workmanship (Ephesians 2:10). It’s by the help of the Holy Spirit that He gives you the impetus to keep pressing on (Acts 1:8). Not by your might or human power but by the help of the Spirit (Zechariah 4:6). In 2017, let’s commit to walking in constant expectation of God’s grace, His protection, and His help and intervention.
DAILY CONFESSION based on Isaiah 40:28-31
The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to me, and when I lack might He increases my power. I wait on the Lord and gain new strength; I will mount up with wings like eagles, I will run and not get tired, I will walk and not become weary!
Physical or mental effort or activity directed toward the production or accomplishment of something. To shape or forge (verb).
