Contrasting Positions

July 1, 2013

But the centurion said, “Lord, I am not worthy for You to come under my roof, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed. . .” Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those who were following, “Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel.” Matthew 8:8,10

Choose Faith. In the Bible, Jesus marveled at two contrasting positions: faith and unbelief. Every day, in every situation, you can choose to land on the side of trusting God.

Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief. Mark 6:5-6 NKJV

Discard Unbelief. Doubt and unbelief will obstruct breakthrough. The unbelief of the people in the town of Nazareth stopped Jesus from being able to do miracles. Don’t let unbelief hinder what God is trying to do in your life!

How To Stay In Faith. Faith is simply placing your trust in God. God asks that we do two things: believe that He is and believe that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). When you act on the principles embedded in the Scriptures, you can face fear with the confidence that God is going to turn it around every time.

God loves you!
