2013: Get Filled With The Word
January 14, 2013For the word of the Lord has sounded forth from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone forth, so that we have no need to say anything. 1 Thessalonians 1:8
Treasure the Scriptures. Read a Proverb or a chapter in the New Testament. Meditate on a verse and let it become entrenched in your thinking. Listen to the Bible in the car, play it when you’re cleaning the kitchen, while you’re sleeping—let it become a part of your world day and night (Psalm 1:2). It will rejoice your heart, enlighten your eyes (Psalm 19:8), and shine as a lamp to the incredible potential of your future (Psalm 119:105).
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 NKJV
God is faithful! Don’t be overwhelmed by 2013. The devil is working hard to discourage you, confuse you, and reinforce disappointment because your simple acts of obedience create a ripple effect that can change nations and lives.
Your prayers matter. Your obedience to walk out God’s plan matters. Receiving God’s Word into your life will transform and renew you. Where there is darkness, you can shine the eternal light of the Scriptures. Where there is sickness, you can take the promises of God and bring healing. Where there is despair, you can bring the Gospel and set captives free. This year, make it your goal to let the Word sound forth mightily in your life!
The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip. Psalm 37:31
God bless you,
