Jesus Is the Word

January 7, 2013

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

Jesus isn’t just an amazing philosopher or teacher out of history. He is the Word, the exact representation of the Father’s nature. Because of Jesus, we have a new covenant and we are free from the vicious circle of sin and death. Because of that great gift, the fear of death is resolved. The price has been paid and we can have fellowship with God and receive help and counsel from an Eternal Father.

The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. Psalm 119:130 NKJV

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105

So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” John 8:31-32

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. John 1:1-3

The most abiding, powerful, and effective means of comfort and revelation comes from the pages of Scripture. Hearts are arrested with conviction when the Word comes. When you receive Jesus, He reveals to you the Word with a spirit of wisdom and revelation. Spend time this January getting to know Jesus through the pages of Scripture. Get inspired to speak God’s Word over your situation. It will change the course of your year.

Happy New Year!
Pastor Jeff
