Walk This Way

May 3, 2015

1. Walk With God. God has said, “I will live in them and will walk among them. I will be their God and they will be My people.” 2 Corinthians 6:16b
God wants to connect with us. Whatever our range of experience or personality, we can walk closely with Him. Most of humanity is running from God, but because of Jesus we are invited to turn toward Him. One moment with Him will change your life forever.

2. Walk in the Spirit. But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. Galatians 5:16
God is spirit and so are you. When you repent and surrender your life to Jesus, you don’t get weird, but instead you become naturally supernatural and supernaturally natural as you learn how to follow God’s leading.

3. Walk in Love. Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you. Ephesians 5:1-2a
Love is the first result of the recreated spirit. The apostle Paul called the love walk a “more excellent way” (1 Corinthians 12:31). Love covers a multitude of sins and gives you a fresh start. Love causes you to value others, knowing that they are loved and accepted by God.

4. Walk by Faith. For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7
You are called to be a rugged individual who lives a life of faith and confidence in God. See tomorrow with the eye of faith—don’t bury your head in the sand or get overly consumed with current events. Instead, keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Pray This Prayer
O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; my soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You (Psalm 63:1a). Thank You, God, that I am invited to a close walk with You. Thank You for the power of the Holy Spirit that equips me to go out into all the world and preach the Gospel (Acts 1:8; Mark 16:15). In Jesus’ Name, amen.

Walk, verb
To make headway. To pursue a course of action or way of life. To be or act in association: continue in union.

Press on!
