Three Ways To Build Your Hope

April 12, 2019

“For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

1. REPLACE WORRY WITH TRUST. We are called to be a hopeful people and walk in constant expectation of impending good. This isn’t an artificial optimism; we know life is rough and this is a fallen world. Real hope is a biblically-based understanding of who God is and what He has promised. God is a present help right now – for you. (Psalm 46:1). The Eternal God watches over His Word to perform it – for you (Jeremiah 1:12).

You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

2. REPLACE DISTRACTION WITH FOCUS ON GOD. God is the most important part of our lives. If we have a problem, God has the answer. He invites us to seek Him (Jeremiah 29:13). He radiates wisdom and provision. He promises that when we seek, we will find (Matthew 7:7).

3. REPLACE COPING WITH OVERCOMING. We are created in Christ for something more than just surviving – God wants to do something significant through our lives. Some of you are facing issues that you haven’t mentioned to anyone. Cast those difficulties on the Lord. He promises to deliver you and then equip you to provide hope and help for someone else! God is good. Give your limitations to Him and put your hope in Him.

Press on,
Pastor Jeff

PRAY THIS PRAYER:
“God, I need help. I trust You. You are a sun and shield; You give grace and glory; No good thing do You withhold from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). You said to ask, and it will be given to me; seek, and I will find; knock, and the door will be opened to me (Matthew 7:7). I fix my hope on You (1 Timothy 4:10). Thank You for making Your wisdom available to me. I ask You for it right now. Show me what to do. In Jesus’ Name, amen!”

hope, verb
