The Hope of Your Calling

July 26, 2019

For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:13-14

1. YOUR LIFE MATTERS. You and I are God’s idea. He wanted to create us in His image and give us dominion and identity and purpose (Genesis 1:26). Then when Adam and Eve failed, God had a plan to undo what Adam did by sending Jesus. Where Adam failed, Jesus succeeded. What Adam lost, Jesus restored.

2. YOUR BELIEFS MATTER. The Bible says that “he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6b). Believing is a big deal. It means to live and exist in accordance with God, where your actions align with God’s viewpoint.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth. Acts 1:8

3. YOUR FOLLOW-THROUGH MATTERS. God has delegated His authority to us. When we meditate on God’s Word, faith rises in our hearts (Romans 10:17). We’re just people, and yet we’re called to be ambassadors for Christ. God wants us to walk with Him, listen to His heartbeat through the Scriptures, and follow through with corresponding action. When you pray, mountains will move; when you preach, signs and wonders will follow and people will get saved; when you give, you will reap a harvest.

PRAY THIS PRAYER (Based on Ephesians 1:17-19):
God, I pray that You will give to me a spirit of wisdom and revelation into the knowledge of You. I ask that the eyes of my understanding may be enlightened that I may know the hope of my calling and the riches of the glory of the inheritance in the saints and what is the surpassing greatness of Your power towards those who believe. Thank You, Jesus. I love You!
