THE GREAT COMMISSION

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me [Jesus], because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord. Luke 4:18-19

KNOW YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION. When Jesus stood up in the synagogue and declared His job description, He was setting the standard for the disciples, for the church, and for you. Jesus said, “He who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do” (John 14:12a).

KEEP ADVANCING. When Satan attacked Jesus in the wilderness, Jesus responded with the Word of God (Luke 4:1-13). “IT IS WRITTEN” is a formidable weapon against unbelief and identity crises.

Instead of using your energies just to survive and maintain, God intends for you to advance His plan on this earth. 

CARRY THE GOSPEL. You are called to be a carrier of this Good News. As we catch this mandate from Jesus, we are going to see opportunities to engage with the brokenhearted captives, to pray for healing for those who are sick, to help free those in bondage. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we can do this!
