PRAYER: YOUR ASSIGNMENT

August 12, 2022

Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17

1. WHEN YOU PRAY, HEAVEN LISTENS. The Bible says that God’s ears are open to the prayer of the righteous (1 Peter 3:12). Prayer is communication with God. It’s not religious ritual or formalism. It’s a relationship – going to God about things and interacting with Him. Never underestimate the power of your prayer. I am serving God because of my grandma, who prayed. A prayer movement is taking place right now that will precede revival in the church and harvest among the lost. Prayer is the most needed exercise in the church today.

2. PRAY FOR REVIVAL IN THE CHURCH. Why do we need revival? Just like I’ve done marriage enrichment for my marriage and talked to a financial advisor to re-up things with the changing markets, so God is rearranging things and getting us ready so that we are not numb or zombified. We must keep our eyes fixed on Jesus by making Him and our relationship with Him central. Start your day, end your day – all through the day into the night – acknowledge Him, go with Him, and fan the flames of your original fire.

3. PRAY FOR HARVEST IN THE WORLD. The intervention of Jesus is so magnificent because He came to seek and save that which is lost. From the beginning, there has been a sense of purpose that this church is to be a house of prayer for the nations – every continent, all ethnicities, and every person. When Jesus comes into the human heart, everything changes. Jesus can make the crooked paths straight. He can turn a sinner into a saint in milliseconds. So let’s lift up our eyes and get ready.

God bless you!

PRAY THIS PRAYER:
God, You are at work in me. I submit to You. I repent of every sin, and I forgive my enemies and refuse to be bitter. I stay on the sunny side of things. With You all things are possible. You order my steps, You are with my mouth, and You show me what to speak. I am running with endurance the particular race God has mapped out for me. I believe for a harvest of souls and revival in the church. Jesus Christ is Lord. Amen!
