How to Get Rid of Anxiety

March 4, 2016

The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us. Psalm 115:12a

1. CAST YOUR CARES ON HIM. God cares about you. He formed you in the womb and He knows everything about you (Jeremiah 1:5). Everything that is worrying and troubling you—give it over completely to the Lord. You are not forgotten: God has plans to give you a future and hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained; what is man that You take thought of him, and the son of man that You care for him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God, and You crown him with glory and majesty! You make him to rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet. Psalm 8:3-6

2. APPRECIATE THE DAILY GRIND. God wants to use us in unique ways, and plowing faithfully through everyday life is how we prepare the ground for great harvest. If you’re feeling aimless or bored, realize that the lull of this season may just be a break before the work and busyness of the next.

3. REIGN IN THIS LIFE. God has designed us to be fruitful and multiply and tend to this earth (Genesis 1:28). He has made us to rule over the works of His hands (Psalm 8:6). The devil will work to intimidate you and make you feel uncertain so that you won’t step up in the next season of your life. But you have been given authority to bring honor and glory to God and have a greater impact on your world. So stay humble before God and be ready for Him to use you!

Press on!
