HOW MUCH MORE

Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds! Luke 12:24

1. GOD IS YOUR SOURCE. I once cared for a baby crow for about a year. The wildlife experts told me how to feed it since it was already in my care. That crow would wait for me and hop on my shoulder when I got home. One day, I came home to find over 50 crows in my oak tree. My little crow looked at me, then at the others – I realized it was time to release him. He circled the house a couple of times, then joined his group and took off. If God used me to care for a little bird, how much more will He care for you?
 
2. GOD IS NOT A WITHHOLDER. Psalm 84:11 says, “The Lord God is a sun and shield” and “no good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” Like the ozone protecting us from the sun, God covers us with mercy and faithfulness. He gave His Son, and with Him, He freely gives us all things (Romans 8:32). 
 
3. WALKING UPRIGHTLY. Maybe you feel your walk with God has been pathetic. We’ve all fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). But through Jesus, God brought us into a new covenant with better promises (Hebrews 8:6). God is a giver. And just when we begin to grasp that, Luke 12 reminds us: how much more!

PRAY THIS OUT LOUD:
Father, thank You that You are a generous giver who withholds no good thing. I ask You to meet my needs today – spirit, soul, and body – in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
