Hold Fast to Your Confession

October 7, 2016

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23

1. MAINTAIN THE GOOD REPORT. What we speak will determine success or failure in our lives. God is calling us to embrace and maintain the good report through the powerful profession of our faith. Our faith isn’t based in human optimism but in the eternal truths of God’s promises.

Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, “We should by all means go up and take possession of it, for we will surely overcome it.” Numbers 13:30

2. SPEAK THE WORD TO OTHERS. Every moment, someone has a need. We must always be ready to give an answer for that hope that is in us (1 Peter 3:15). God’s Word is healing to the nations, healing to someone’s body, someone’s problem. Like Caleb did for the people of Israel, you can get up with the voice of faith and proclaim, “We will surely overcome it!”

He who guards his mouth and his tongue, guards his soul from troubles. Proverbs 21:23

3. GUARD YOUR SOUL. Garbage in means garbage out. Commit and discipline yourself to speak the Word only. Continually acknowledge who Jesus is and what He has done for you, instead of reiterating what you are miserable about. Confess what God’s Word says about each area of your life, no matter what your circumstance. You can be confident that God will do what He promised. He is faithful every time.

Press on,

DAILY CONFESSION
I hold fast to the confession of my faith. All things for which I pray and ask I believe that I have received them and they will be granted to me (Mark 11:24). I repent of any unbelief coming out of my mouth. Because of Jesus, I am called out of darkness to carry light into this world. I am healed, I am whole, I have more than enough to give to others. I speak to the mountains in my life and I say, “Move!” in Jesus’ Name.

con·fess, verb
