God’s Timing

There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1

God Is Preparing You. Your times are in God’s hands (Psalm 31:15). You are not a day late and a dollar short. Every moment—even in the daily routines and harsh disappointments of life—God is building something into your core, building resilience into your system, teaching you things you didn’t know before.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:5

God Is Equipping You. The great heroes of the Bible felt their own inadequacies as soon as they sensed God’s calling. Isaiah said, “I am a man of unclean lips” (Isaiah 6:5). Gideon said, “I am the least in my father’s house” (Judges 6:15). Peter said, “Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man” (Luke 5:8). Yet God used them to accomplish His great plan on the earth. When God calls you, He also equips you (1 Thessalonians 5:24; Hebrews 13:21).

God Is Opening Doors. Every one of us has the opportunity to stand before the Lord, to listen to His voice and say, “Here I am. Send me.” Draw near to God and drive a stake in the ground with faith and confidence—knowing that whatever challenges you are going through, God has given you a door of hope (Hosea 2:15).

Pray This Prayer:
God, I thank You that my times are in Your hands, that my steps are ordered by You and I’m fearfully and wonderfully made. I thank You that I have been born for just this time. Stir my heart toward Your purposes. Help my prayer life to be more effective. I pray the fire of evangelism would burn in my heart, that I would have interesting conversations with people, and that lost people would want to know what I have! In Jesus’ name, amen.
