God’s Blessing Is for You

April 2, 2022

God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply.” Genesis 1:28a

When I look at the Book of Genesis, I think of that amazing beginning moment. The first thing God did after creating humanity was to speak blessing over Adam and Eve. Then, even when humanity sinned and darkness and deprivation covered and eclipsed society, God had a plan to save Noah and his family and give humanity a second beginning. And again God proclaimed His blessing over them (Genesis 9:1).

All throughout the Old and New Testaments God proclaimed His love, His willingness to follow through, His infinite care, and His abiding concern for you and me.

You are made in God’s image and are very precious to Him. Whatever season you are in, whatever you are going through, know that there is corresponding grace, mercy, and blessing available to you! Just as He declared to Adam and Eve at the beginning, He is blessing you! He is saying that instead of being fruitless, be fruitful! Instead of being bored, be productive. God is the Creator and He has bestowed His creativity in you – go out and use it!

God bless you!
Pastor Jeff Perry

bless·ing, noun
The act of one that blesses. Something promoting or contributing to happiness, well-being, or prosperity; a boon.

DAILY CONFESSION
I thank You, God, that it is Your blessing that makes rich, and You add no sorrow to it. You delight in my prosperity, and You are the one who richly supplies me with all things to enjoy. You are a sun and a shield to me. You give grace and glory. No good thing do You withhold from those who walk uprightly. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from You, God! You are a light in whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. (Proverbs 10:22; Psalm 35:27; 1 Timothy 6:17; Psalm 84:11; James 1:17).
