God Is Able

July 6, 2018

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed. 2 Corinthians 9:8

1. HE IS ABLE TO MAKE YOU STAND. Anxiety can weigh a person down, but Jesus is the cure for anxiety. When we put all of our attention and focus on God and delight ourselves in the Lord through prayer, worship, and studying the Word—He is the one who lifts that pressure off of us and gives us abundance for every good deed!

2. HE IS ABLE TO COME TO YOUR AID. God is faithful and an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). King David wrote in Psalms that from the time he was young to his old age he had never seen the righteous forsaken (Psalm 37:25). Jesus said, “I’ll never leave you or forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5).

Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him . . . Do not fret; it leads only to evildoing. For evildoers will be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the land. Psalm 37:7-9

3. HE IS ABLE TO DO EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL WE ASK OR THINK (Ephesians 3:20). Worry tempts us to take things into our own hands. But our sufficiency is in God—it’s not by our might or human power but by His Spirit (Zechariah 4:6). God will be faithful to guide you and give you wisdom through the different challenges of life. As you seek Him, you will find Him!

God bless you!
Pastor Jeff

PRAY THIS PRAYER:
You have not given me a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. You have called me to do mighty deeds! Jesus, I know it’s not by might or by power but by Your Spirit. I don’t trust in my ability, but I put all my hope, faith, and trust in You, Jesus. I know I will reap great fruit if I don’t quit. Thank You, Jesus, that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all I can ask or think according to Your power working in me (Ephesians 3:20).
