God Helps Us Walk in Love!

May 7, 2021

Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8

LOVE IS VALUE. The best definition I’ve found for love is “value.” In modern society we see a huge devaluation of
human life (Matthew 24:12). But if we just obey the Bible and value others in a meaningful, non-patronizing way, our lives will be a radical witness to the rest of the world.

LOVE CHANGES THE WORLD. The Christian life is not one of detachment or isolation. We are called to go out there and get involved with people. We’re to show love in such a genuine way that it becomes contagious and spreads. But we don’t generate love in our own power. God gives us the grace to live it out! We can love people more as we understand how much God loves us. Take time to read 1 John 4 this week and meditate on God’s love for you!

By this all will know that you are My [Jesus’] disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:35

LOVE AND FAITH. Sometimes people are not enjoyable to be around. Some people are grumpy, odd, or harsh, and they generate unhappiness. Love them anyway. Be merciful and patient. In that atmosphere of giving, sin loses its hold on people. In that atmosphere of love, miracles happen.

God bless you!
