God Cares For You!

December 21, 2022

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time, casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].
1 Peter 5:6-7 AMP

1. CONSIDER HOW MUCH GOD CARES FOR YOU. God says to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. I’m a dad and a grandfather, and I love my kids and grandkids. I want to see them prevail and be stabilized. I want to see them win. If we earthly parents know how to give to our children, how much more will our heavenly Father want to give to us (Matthew 7:11)?

2. DEVELOP HUMILITY IN YOUR LIFE. In college, there are pre-requisite classes before moving on to advanced learning. Humility is a priority God wants us to cultivate first. He calls us to be like Jesus, who is gentle and humble of heart, and in Him, we can find rest (Matthew 11:28). As we humble ourselves before God, interesting and fascinating things will transpire while He exalts us. Exaltation is different from self-actualization and self-promotion. It means that we will be effective and increase in our ability to serve and care for others and impact lives.

3. CAST YOUR CARES ON GOD. What are you worrying about? You may be a surgeon, a business owner, a stay-at-home mother, or a young adult just getting through college. Whoever you are, God invites you to cast all your cares, anxieties, and issues on him. He loves you. He proved it by sending Jesus to take our sins and give us His righteousness. You can say, “Lord, I’m going to cast my cares on you.” And then take time to pray about it. The God of all comfort will be there with you. He’ll never leave you. He’ll never forsake you.

PRAY THIS PRAYER:
I humble myself today, God, and I know that You will direct my path. I pray for You to open doors, give me opportunities, and grant me favor. I ask you to activate, energize, and strengthen me. Give me a sharpness in my perceptions. Help me to alleviate pressure in people’s lives and bring supernatural encouragement. Help me to get in a position to be a blessing to others and make Jesus known. Amen!
