“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Acts 1:8

1. WALK IN GOD’S POWER. God has called us to go out and change the world but only when we are clothed with His power (Luke 24:49). Though we live an earthly life, we do not fight an earthly war (2 Corinthians 10:3). God has made available spiritual weapons to believers—like the Name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus, and the Word of God.

2. KNOW YOUR BATTLEGROUND. If you have been in a protracted battle, you can have a turning point today. There is a war for your mind. Fear will try to seize your thought life and fill it with all kinds of terrible images. The devil will try to tempt you and get you off track so that you stay stuck in chronic guilt. But you can overcome! The Bible tells us to take “every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5).

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven. Matthew 16:19

3. PRAYER CHANGES THINGS. We pray to bind the devil’s plan and to loose God’s plan for our lives—over our families, our nation, and the world. This is not a futile exercise. Using one of God’s amazing power tools truly changes things. No prayer is too big. So throw your shoulders back, get your head up, and know that the Lord has given you the authority of His Word, and in the Name of Jesus, things must change.

DAILY CONFESSION
Jesus is the Lord of my life. God is not weak toward me, but mighty in me (2 Corinthians 13:3). He is pushing me past any oppression or barrier that tries to hold me back. I am free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2) and God has blessed me with every spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3).

bat·tle·ground, noun
The piece of ground on which a battle is or was fought. A place or situation of strife or conflict.
