4 WAYS TO GET RENEWED TODAY

April 2, 2021

Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3

1. GET BACK TO YOUR FIRST LOVE. Every day God offers us a fresh start; a new opportunity to push the reset button and turn our eyes to Him. He knows what to do when nobody else does.

2. GET STRENGTHENED. If you have an area of weakness, go to the Bible and find what God says concerning that specific issue and get fortified. God’s Word pushes back darkness and brings confidence, assurance, and hope.

3. GET WISDOM. “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him” (James 1:5). The inclusive phrasing “if ANY of you” means wisdom is available for all: from the newest Christian, to the burned-out believer, to the person doing great.

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! … Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:4, 6-7

4. GET JOYFUL. Paul wrote these verses in a context of challenge but with full confidence in God’s faithfulness. It’s good to be alive today. If you feel bottomed out, depressed or anxious go to God. He wants to restore joy to you. If you feel like complaining, instead thank God for whatever you can possibly thank Him for. Rejoice even before you feel like it – sing a song to God, read a scripture out loud – use your voice to remind yourself of how mighty God is.

God bless you!
