LOVE BRINGS REVIVAL

August 20, 2022

See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. 1 John 3:1a

1. GOD LOVES YOU. He esteemed you so dear that He made the value of your life the death of His Son. When we know we are loved, we become secure. We can be kind toward others instead of overly guarded; confident instead of nervous; brave instead of timid; sincere instead of fake.

Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. Ephesians 5:1-2

2. LOVE OTHERS. “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another” (1 John 4:11). If you have anything against anyone, forgive. Resentment can accumulate in our lives, sour our existence, and turn us into bitter individuals. That’s why every day we must push the reset button and root out any unforgiveness.

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:31-32

3. LOVE REVIVES. Love scriptures are revival scriptures. As you meditate on God’s love, you’ll see a revival in your heart and life. Choosing to daily walk in love will change the city we serve and the nation we love and we will see this generation come to know Jesus.

DAILY CONFESSION – based on 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
I am an imitator of God and I walk in love (Ephesians 5:1). I am patient; I am kind and not jealous. I do not brag and I am not arrogant. I do not act unbecomingly. I don’t seek my own and am not provoked. I don’t take into account a wrong suffered or rejoice in unrighteousness, but I rejoice in the truth. I bear all things, I believe all things, I hope all things and I endure all things. Love never fails.

love, noun
