The Outcome of Seeking God

March 3, 2017

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth. Acts 1:8

1. RECEIVE STRENGTH. We can strengthen ourselves in the Lord during difficult times (1 Samuel 30:6). Instead of backing down when we hit a challenge, we can draw near to God and remember what He has already brought us through; we can sing praises to Him; we can stay in the Word; we can stay connected in church and hear teaching to help us get strengthened.

2. RECEIVE POWER. When you connect with the Lord, people can recognize that you’ve been with Jesus (Acts 4:13). God is searching throughout the earth for people whose hearts are His (2 Chronicles 16:9), and He continues to look for people to stand in the gap and respond to His plan (Ezekiel 22:30). Instead of articulating your problems, caving into depression, and letting the devil silence your voice of faith, take hold of God’s promises and shout with a voice of triumph (Psalm 47:1 NKJV).

But the people who know their God will display strength and take action. Daniel 11:32b

3. TAKE ACTION. As we seek God and strengthen ourselves in Him and receive His power, souls will be saved, lives will be healed, problems will be solved, bodies will be restored, relationships will mend, finances will come to advance the Kingdom and bring blessing to God’s people.

Press on!

PRAY THIS PRAYER:
God, You are my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Thank You for all You have done and are going to do in my life. I trust You for the breakthrough; I trust You with every area of my life. I seek You and Your strength, Lord (Psalm 105:4). You have all the answers, all the strength, and all the power that I need. Because You are with me I will not be shaken (Psalm 16:8). Thank You, Jesus!
