Seeing Through the Lens of God’s Word
January 26, 2015[I] do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. Ephesians 1:16-17
Look to Jesus. So often, people look at Jesus through the filter of their struggles and conflicts. But Jesus is calling us to look directly at Him. Not to deny that problems exist, but to deny Satan the right to dominate us.
The Word Brings Faith. Christianity is not a baseless optimism, but it is a biblical hope. Go to the Scriptures and look through the lens of God’s promises of provision, healing, and breakthrough. Faith will come! A spirit of wisdom and revelation will rise up in you and the truth of what God says will become more dominant than your current circumstances.
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. Ephesians 1:18-19a
Light Excels Darkness. Whether you are experiencing high times or hard times, God’s grace is going to see you through (Philippians 4:11-13). If the devil has backed you into a corner of despair, God’s Word will shine light in the darkest situations in your relationships, in your marriage, and in your finances (Psalm 119:130). Even though you don’t know everything that’s ahead, God does, and He has plans to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Daily Confession:
This is a year of advancement and breakthrough. I won’t back down from God’s plans and purposes. I thank God for a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of my understanding may be enlightened that I may know what is the hope of God’s calling and what are the riches of the glory of the inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward those who believe!
