JESUS IS WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE

December 5, 2022

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1

1. SPEAK GOD’S PRAISES. The best way to use our words is to magnify the Lord. We can develop a habit of looking at things that are praiseworthy and looking to the One who is worthy of praise – and that’s Jesus. I’ve had times when my priorities got skewed, and I was magnifying and studying my problem. But King David learned the importance of only glancing at his difficulties; instead, he gazed at God, remembering His goodness and blessing Him at all times!

2. SAVOR GOD’S PROVISION. “Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing” (Psalm 34:10b). Jesus said that as we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, then all these things will be added to us: shelter over our head, food in our stomachs, clothes on our back, shoes on our feet – the basic provisions of life God cares about and provides (Matthew 6:33).

O taste and see that the Lord is good. Psalm 34:8a

3. TASTE GOD’S GOODNESS.
We can treasure God’s Word as it says in Jeremiah: “Your words were found and I ate them, and Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart” (Jeremiah 15:16a). When we take time to treasure God’s Word in our hearts, our priorities and lives begin to line up with God’s plan and God’s overflowing goodness.

God bless you!

PRAY THIS PRAYER:
Jesus, You’re the Lord over my life. You’re the healer of my body. You’re the savior of my soul. You’re the renewer of my mind. You’re the patcher-upper of my relationships. You’re the supplier of my finances. I trust You, and I’m going to quit whining. Help me, please, to bridle my tongue, to be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath. May my words be pleasing to You. Help me to magnify You today in Jesus’ name, amen.
