GOD FULFILLS HIS PROMISES

June 9, 2023

My eyes grow dim with longing for you to fulfill your wonderful promise to rescue me.
Psalm 119:123 TLB

1. GOD’S PROMISES ARE FOR YOU. The Bible says that Jesus “isn’t one to say yes when he means no. He always does exactly what he says. He carries out and fulfills all of God’s promises, no matter how many of them there are” (1 Corinthians 1:19b-20a TLB). That’s why we go to God’s Word and study His promises and benefits and keep them before us every day.

2. FOCUS ON THE PROMISE. When going through a battle, we can keep our eyes focused on God’s guarantees, even in the midst of problems. Instead of constantly thinking about the negative, we can put our hope and focus on God and what He promised in His Word. “He will keep in perfect peace all those who trust in him, whose thoughts often turn to the Lord!” (Isaiah 26:3 TLB).

3. HUNGER FOR GOD’S PROMISES. Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied” (Matthew 5:6). This verse speaks of a heart longing for God with purposeful intention. Even if you are feeling apathetic right now, I want to encourage you to keep your eyes on God. Talk to Him and ask Him to help you desire the things of God!

PRAY THIS PRAYER:
God, I forget none of Your benefits. You pardon my sins, heal my diseases, and redeem my life from the pit. You crown me with lovingkindness and compassion. You satisfy my heart with good things so that my youth is renewed like the eagle (Psalm 103:3-6). I’m trusting You for breakthrough and that You will fulfill Your wonderful promise to rescue me. Put a fresh hunger in me for You and Your Word – in Jesus’ Name, amen!
