A Certain Mission
November 14, 2014God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him . . . after getting them [His children] established, he stayed with them to the end, gloriously completing what he had begun. Romans 8:29-30 The Message
Daily Faithfulness. Your mission is not vague, but certain. You may not know at this moment the fullness of what God has called you to, but He put gifts and aptitudes in your life for a specific purpose. Do everything you can to press in and not let the devil disrupt your fellowship with God or diminish your effectiveness.
Language of Faith. It takes courage to fulfill God’s plan. You may have to step out of your comfort zone into some new areas, but know that those whom God calls He equips (1 Thessalonians 5:24; Hebrews 13:21). A faith-filled believer doesn’t whine and doesn’t speak from want, but from a position of abundance: “God is going to supply and meet my need right where I am.”
Culture Shapers. What do you want to see happen through your life? If you’re clueless about it, go to God and ask like Paul did, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” (Acts 9:6 NKJV). God leads you by His Word and He leads you by the subtle prompting in your spirit. In the meantime, be diligent in whatever you find to do (Ecclesiastes 10:9). You are called to be a culture-shaper—to cause hearts to be changed and whole nations to know the saving power of Jesus.
Pray this Prayer
Father, I pray in the name of Jesus that You would download creativity, supernatural strength, and the next steps of what I am to do. I thank You that I am designed to be a carrier of Your presence. Help me to be sensitive to the voice of Your Holy Spirit, to go where You say to go and do what You say to do.
God bless you!
Pastor Jeff
