Dare & Endure

November 13, 2015

Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. Hebrews 10:35-36

BE BOLD AS A LION. We can face the challenges of life with confidence because Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Unexpected things happen that are designed to make us feel unsettled and disheartened. But whoever calls on the name of the Lord will not be disappointed (Romans 10:11).

DEFY DEPRESSION. Don’t throw away your confidence. God found Gideon in a hole; God found Joseph in a prison; God found Jonah in a belly of a fish—what we think is failure, He sees as future. God will redeem your life out of the pit (Psalm 103:4), so don’t let the darkness of the moment silence you. Defy depression. Get up and start singing praises to God!

But My righteous one shall live by faith; and if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him. But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul. Hebrews 10:38-39

RELY ON GOD. Notice, we are not of those who shrink back! God has called you to fight the fight of faith—regardless of how heavy the load, how the fog obscures vision, or how long it takes. You may not have it all figured out, but God does. You can completely rely on His faithfulness. As you refuse to move from your position of faith, you will get the victory Jesus promised.

Press on,
Pastor Jeff

“This is no time for ease and comfort. It is time to dare and endure.”
Winston Churchill – January 27, 1940

DAILY CONFESSION
The righteous are bold as lions (Proverbs 28:1). I lay aside every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles me (Hebrews 12:1). Faithful is God who calls me and He will also bring it to pass (1 Thessalonians 5:24).
