A Progressive Journey

December 8, 2014

But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day. Proverbs 4:18

1. Brighter and Brighter
Living things grow. God has designed you for growth and advancement through all the seasons of your life. Let any regret break off of you, and step out in a new level of faith, knowing that as you walk with Jesus, your path will get brighter and brighter.

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18

2. Glory to Glory
When we look in the Word, we see the glory and grandeur of God. When we seek God’s face and get into the Word, we are changed into that same image. Where are you coming from? Glory. Where are you going? Glory.

They go from strength to strength. Psalm 84:7a

3. Strength to Strength
You can be strong in the Lord and the strength of His might (Ephesians 6:10). The best is yet to come – grab hold of this, and twenty years from now you will be able to say like Caleb: “I am still as strong today as I was in the day Moses sent me; as my strength was then, so my strength is now, for war and for going out and coming in” (Joshua 14:11).

Daily Confession
I live by faith—the Gospel takes me from faith to more faith (Romans 1:17). I wax greater and greater because the Lord is with me (1 Chronicles 11:9 KJV). As for me, I will hope continually and I will praise You, Lord, yet more and more (Psalm 71:14).

Progress, noun
A movement toward a goal or to a further or higher stage. Growth or development; continuous improvement. Forward or onward movement.

God bless you,
Pastor Jeff
