3 Gifts God Has for You

December 21, 2019

Let my passion for life be restored, tasting joy in every breakthrough you bring to me. Hold me close to you with a willing spirit that obeys whatever you say. Psalm 51:12 TPT

1. PASSION FOR LIFE RESTORED. God loves you. I am the result of a Vietnam veteran who gave me a ride to my house and feebly shared the Gospel with me. He had been through a great deal of heartache – a lot of it self-inflicted. He got addicted to drugs, was dishonorably discharged from the military, and his marriage fell apart. He wasn’t eloquent, but he was real when he shared how God rescued him. Much of it went over my head at the time, but something grabbed my heart and forever my life was changed.

2. JOY IN BREAKTHROUGH. At the end of the day, our humanity runs out of energy – we can’t do life on our own power. But Jesus wants to come in on the scene and bring breakthrough to us. What is broken in your life, He wants to heal. Where there is discord, He wants to bring peace. Where there is bitterness, He offers forgiveness. Where there is fear, He offers faith.

The free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23b

3. CLOSENESS TO GOD. We all have shortcomings and sin in our lives that could make us want to avoid connecting with God and isolate us from other people. The best thing we can do is take our cares and concerns to God and ask Him for help. I’m talking to those of us who don’t feel very spiritual right now, to those who haven’t picked up the Bible in a while or prayed in a while. That can change! Go to God and be real with Him. Talk to Him like a friend. His presence will bring you great joy.

Merry Christmas!

PRAY THIS PRAYER:
God, I need You. I open my heart wide to You. I repent for my sin and I ask for Your forgiveness and mercy to come into my heart. I believe that Jesus truly is Your Son and that He died for my sins and rose from the dead. I receive Jesus as my Savior. Thank You for rescuing me, and thank You that You have a great plan for my life. Amen.
