You Can Depend on God

May 17, 2019

And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

1. WHEN WE ARE THE NEEDIEST, GOD IS THE MOST SUFFICIENT. When the Apostle Paul was suffering from constant persecution and recurring battles, God told him: “My grace is sufficient.” That’s what God is telling us. Whatever we are going through, He is an ever-present help (Psalm 46:1). That’s why we go to and study the promises of God found in the Bible. Then, when we pray for things, we can pray in faith because in Jesus, all of God’s promises are yes and available to us (2 Corinthians 1:20).

2. WHEN WE FEEL THE LEAST, GOD IS THE GREATEST. Refuse the temptation to compare yourself with others. Our security comes from God (Psalm 37). He is with us. He knows when we sit down and when we get up (Psalm 139:1-2). He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). He is a friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24).

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed. 2 Corinthians 9:8

3. WHEN WE FEEL THE MOST USELESS, GOD IS PREPARING US. If you feel at a disadvantage because of failure, get back up again. God is getting you ready for the next step. If you’ve been hurt by others, forgive. If you’ve sinned, repent. Let’s do whatever we can to keep our hearts right so that God can get us in a position to advance.

God loves you!

Pray This Prayer
Heavenly Father, today is a new day. Your grace is sufficient. Because You love me, I’m loving You back. I’m going the distance. I will walk this thing out not by my human power, but by the power of the Holy Spirit. I will see great harvest and revival in my lifetime. My church is blessed. My town is blessed. My family is blessed. Thank You for it in Jesus’ Name.

suf·fi·cient, adj.
