Trust God & Do Good.

Why do you say, O Jacob, and assert, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the Lord, and the justice due me escapes the notice of my God”? Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. Isaiah 40:27-29

God loves you deeply, but self-pity and melancholy are designed to deactivate you from effectiveness for the rest of your life. They make you avoid ministering to others because you feel so bad. In those moments of self-doubt, do the opposite of what you feel: trust in the Lord and do good.

Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:3-4

The Bible is spiritual nutrition for your soul. Look in the mirror of God’s Word to see who you really are in Christ. It’s hard to murmur when you are meditating on the Scriptures. When you pore through its pages, tremendous hope will rise in your heart. That consistent God of the Bible is your God.

For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Romans 15:4

Yield your heart to God. Pursue Him as your primary focus. As you get in His presence, He will burn out all the lesser pursuits that are of the flesh, and your heart will crave God’s purpose for your life.

Pray this prayer:
I praise You, God. Thank You for sending Jesus to save and rescue me. You give strength to the weary. I refuse to murmur or complain about anything. I trust You to bring about Your plan for my life. I thank You for Your power that creates in me the desire to do Your gracious will and also brings about the accomplishment of that desire (Philippians 2:13 WNT).

Trust, noun – Assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something.
