Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe. 1 Timothy 4:12

When you and I become followers of Jesus, we are examples of lives changed by the power of the Gospel. Here are five key areas that, when they are lived out, will ensure greater effectiveness and impact as we commit for the long haul in this life of faith!

Speech. “The mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart” (Matthew 12:34b). Words reveal what’s going on in your interior world. Let your mind get renewed by God’s Word so that your speech will reflect the truth of what God says about your life.

Love. “For the love of Christ controls us” (2 Corinthians 5:14a). If Christians simply model God’s love, we will see revival in the church and harvest among the lost.

Faith. “Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only does wondrous things!” (Psalm 72:18 NKJV). Stretch your faith by believing God for great things.

Conduct. “Walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects,
bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10). People are looking for the real deal. The more upsetting the world gets, the more we must recommit to the essentials.

Purity. “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me”
(Psalm 51:10). The purity of a righteous life is a powerful weapon against the darkness of this present era. If you’re lapsing in any of these five areas—speech, love, faith, conduct, and purity—be quick to repent, and God will get you back on track.

Pray this Prayer
God, help me to exemplify the amazing work Jesus has done. I pray that the Word comes into my life and changes my behavior, habits, and character. I turn from sin and I reach out and embrace what God has for me. In Jesus’ Name, amen!

God bless you!
Pastor Jeff
