Rely on God

June 29, 2018

For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth and making it bear and sprout, and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so will My Word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11

1. GOD FINISHES WHAT HE BEGINS. As realistically as rain and snow come from heaven to replenish the earth, so God’s Word will replenish you and accomplish what God desires. Let this truth resonate in your spirit: He who has begun a good work will perfect and perform it in you—regardless if you are nine or ninety-nine (Philippians 1:6).

2. GOD WORKS EVERYTHING OUT FOR GOOD. God has designed us, male and female, in His image, for amazing purposes – for accomplishment, excellence, and breakthrough. He knows more about your future than you know about your past. When something doesn’t seem to reconcile, put it on the altar knowing that God causes all things to work together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:13

3. GOD WILL BRING YOU THROUGH THE BATTLE. We’ve all had times when we responded pathetically to our battles; yet God still brought us through. It’s not because we are “all that,” but because we rely on our accomplishing God. So cast your worries, cares, troubles, and anxiety on Him because He cares for you deeply, watchfully, and affectionately, and He is faithful. God will accomplish that which concerns you.

God loves you,
Pastor Jeff

DAILY CONFESSION:
The Lord will perfect that which concerns me. I will accomplish what God has called me to do today. I fix my eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith. I won’t be hijacked by lesser things, but I will lay aside every encumbrance and sin that entangles, and I will run with endurance.

re·ly, verb
To depend confidently; to put trust in.
