Joseph: An Honorable Life

March 27, 2015

If anyone serves Me [Jesus], he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him. John 12:26

God’s Vision for Your Life. In the Bible, the account of the life of Joseph tells the story of a man who overcame struggles and who stayed obedient to God’s plan for his life. Initially, Joseph didn’t know what he was called to do. All he had were some vague dreams about stacks of wheat bowing down to him and the sun and moon and stars bowing down to him (Genesis 37:6-9). Yet, God used him to save not only his family but an entire nation. As He did with Joseph, God will spend decades preparing you for things you don’t yet sense or see.

It came about that from the time he made him overseer in his house and over all that he owned, the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house on account of Joseph; thus the Lord’s blessing was upon all that he owned, in the house and in the field. Genesis 39:5

Blessed to Be a Blessing. Whole groups of people can be blessed on account of one person who steps in with a robust awareness of God’s goodness. When Joseph was made to serve as a slave in Potiphar’s house, God blessed the whole house because of Joseph. You can go into your school, your workplace, and your neighborhood with a spirit of faith and the love of Jesus and believe for change and blessing.

Daily Confession
Lord Jesus, I connect my heart with Your faithfulness. I call upon You and You show me great and mighty things which I do not know (Jeremiah 33:3). You answer me and You are with me in trouble. You will satisfy me with a long life and show me Your salvation (Psalm 91:15-16). I believe I will see the salvation of the Lord in my particular case. Nothing is too difficult for You!

God bless you,
Pastor Jeff
