Regaining Lost Things.
For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19:10
Jesus is all about redemption, restoration, and recovery. Jesus came for the purpose of retrieving something that was lost. He has the power to redeem us from
sin and from an eternity in hell; and He also came to restore our lives here on earth to the victorious plan that God has for us.
We know that loss is something everyone experiences in lifefrom trivial things like a flashlight or an earring, to losing your joy, your vision, your momentum, your passion. If God can take care of the recovery of our souls, He can tend to other areas of our lives as well.
The battles that the devil designs against us are to try to stifle us, hinder the Word, and suppress our destinies. But what God has initiated is coming to pass. Even if it seems we've gotten off course, by God's grace He grants us repentance and lets us get back on track. We know that God causes all things to work together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
Just as with the woman who lost her coin (Luke 15:8-10), if there's some loss in your life, God wants to bring restoration to you in that area. If we start getting calcified by life, hunching over in the spirit, I believe we can get alone with God and regain the vibrancy of a cutting-edge life.
When we as Christians lose our joy or experience a loss, we can turn to the Word of God. It is a lamp to us, a light, and it gives us understanding (Psalm 119:105).
Open your Bible and shine the light of the Word on the subject. Find what God says about your situation and thank Him for His faithfulness. God wants to bring recovery and redemption to each one of our lives. He wants us to regain lost things!
He's faithful!
