Promises? Yes. So Be It.
For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.
2 Corinthians 1:20
Whatever your situation is today, there is a promise from God to meet every need . . . God is sufficient. His power and grace will see you through. Understanding this will cause you to face things differently.
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge
of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine
power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and
godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called
us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has
granted to us His precious and magnificent promises,
so that by them you may become partakers of the divine
nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world
by lust. 2 Peter 1:2-4
These verses are not for the faint of heart. They require us to look at
them, and they require investigation, meditation, pondering, noticing.
I pray you get hold of this, because grace and peace are multiplied to you
through your knowledge of Him. Knowledge is a good thing and, contrary to
the popular cliché, ignorance is not bliss. We're not to ignore the promises
of God. We are to take hold of them and say, "God, I stand on Your Word."
Whenever we stand facing a situation, we do so from a posture of:
"Okay, God, there is a promise for me pertaining to this particular
problem, and, because I am a believer, I believe in Your promises and
that they are precious (valuable beyond description) and magnificent
(marvelous beyond words)."
The promises of God are "Yes" and "Amen" (so it is, so be it, may it be
fulfilled). We can confidently trust our Father to honor His precious
promises!
Press on.
