. . . I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord . . . Philippians 3:8 Jesus is coming back to a vibrant, powerful church. But where does this power come from? We know it comes from God, but more specifically: The connection to God's power is our fellowship with Jesus.

In Philippians 3, Paul is saying that all of the things that the world finds valuable—pedigree, reputation, knowledge, and skill—are nothing in the light of actually knowing Jesus. But to really know someone you have to spend time with them and really engage in the relationship: talking, listening, just being quiet together, telling them how great you think they are . . .

Our power is determined by the degree that we fellowship with God. Here's something to consider: Any piece of electrical equipment, no matter how polished or full of potential, is limited and dormant when it is not plugged into its power source. This is why the devil is fighting to keep you and me out of the secret place. Jesus' instruction in Matthew, Chapter 6, says, "But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you." There is an imperative in this statement. There is a call to plug in.

Together and as individuals we have an invitation into a holy place with the Creator of the Universe! Participating in worship and getting into God's Word together as a church is also a vital aspect of our fellowship. And I believe the corporate anointing for this church can go up multiplied levels to the degree that we each get ourselves plugged into our fellowship with God with more consistency.

When God finds people who will place a life of intimate, personal, dynamic, consistent fellowship with Him as their first priority, He will direct His power, guidance, wisdom, joy, and pleasure straight through those people.

You are designed to be a conduit of the presence of God.
