Obtain Your Inheritance.
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1:2-3 It's almost time to vote again. If you're a registered voter, you have the right to cast your ballot at the polls, but just because you've been given the authority and right to vote doesn't mean you will actually exercise it. That's proved out by years of poor voter turnout in America.

I think the same thing happens in the Church. As part of our inheritance as
believers in Jesus Christ, we have been given the authority, the responsibility, and the role—along with the promises and blessings—but, for whatever reason, the inheritance isn't being collected.

I once had an uncollected property that somebody found for me, but it didn't become mine until I signed the papers and made the effort to reach out and receive it. Our inheritance in Christ is like that. We can't reap the benefits and blessings of our inheritance if we don't know what it is.

It's all right there in God's Word. That's where you'll find the documentation that defines your inheritance in Jesus. In Jesus Christ, God has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness! Wow! And He's calling us to learn about these wonderful things, receive them, and walk in them.

Listen to the Bible on tape or CD, pull out the iPod, or read and re-read the itemization of who God is, who we are, and what we have in Christ. It's time to reassess God's promises and obtain the rich inheritance you have in Him.

In love with His Word,
Pastor Jeff

And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified. Acts 20:32
