Mission Accomplished.

After He took the wine, Jesus said, "It's done . . . complete." Bowing His head, He offered up His spirit. John 19:30 MSG Jesus had a mission and a purpose, and everything He did lined up with this purpose—to save the lost and to reveal the Kingdom of God. He was successful. He completed His mission. But it wasn't easy. Achieving a goal of any value rarely is.

During His ministry Jesus was subjected to ridicule, betrayal, and eventually abuse. Why would anyone willingly endure these things without reason? They wouldn't. We all want to know our purpose. We desire a reason for doing things, a reason for living. "Why?" is even the first question most of us ask when we are first learning how to talk. Jesus knew "why" and He also knew His reward would be great.

Jesus accomplished the work He set out to do, and because we are in Him, we are victorious too. He has set an example and shown us that we can do everything God has called us to do.

Look at how The Message Bible illustrates it: Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how He did it. Because He never lost sight of where He was headed -- that exhilarating finish in and with God -- He could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever. And now He's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God.
Hebrews 12:2
Jesus said, "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father." John 14:12
