And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
This past week, over 2,000 screaming kids packed out this building to learn about Joseph. Joseph's life was filled with challenge and difficulty. Yet he shows us we can fulfill God's call on our lives despite adverse circumstances. Joseph was betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery. Then he was thrown into prison for a crime he didn't commit. But despite less than ideal circumstances, God still promoted Joseph. What was meant for evil, God used for good!
God turned what was meant for harm in Joseph's life into favor and blessing for him; and even more, God used Joseph to save that part of the world from starvationto even save those who tried to destroy his life. When reunited with his brothers who betrayed him, Joseph said:
Do not be afraid, for am I in God's place? And as for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive. Genesis 50:19-20
Life's not perfect. You may be in a situation like Joseph, one that looks far from hopeful. Those closest to you may have let you down. But that doesn't faze God. As you humble your heart and refuse to harbor bitterness, God will use you. Bad situations will turn around for the good. Don't give up!
God Bless You!
