It's Good To Remember.
When you've been praying for someone who is lost, and the situation looks impossible, it's good to remember these five things:
1. Light is more powerful than darkness. Light excels darkness, it shines in the darkness, and it overwhelms the darkness.
The light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. John 1:5 NLT
2. Truth is stronger than error. Always has been. Always will be.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 NKJV
3. There's more grace in God's heart than sin in men's hearts. You pray and pray and pray for people and it looks like they're getting worse. But, as believers, we don't walk by what we see. God can get hold of a heart and turn it around.
For if by the one man's offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. Romans 5:15b NKJV
4. There's more power in the Holy Spirit to convict people of sin than there is power in satanic forces to tempt men to sin.
And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. John 16:8 NKJV
5. There's more power in one precious drop of the shed blood of the Lord Jesus to cleanse men's hearts from the stain of sin than there is in the accumulated filth of men's sins since Adam and Eve. One drop.
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14 NKJV
It's good to remember that we serve an awesome God!
