In Good Hands.
When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, because the Lord is the One who holds his hand. Psalm 37:24 For every need that humanity has, God's got the answer. This is why David said, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want" (Psalm 23:1). That's sort of archaic talk for: "Because God is my God, I don't have any needs. He meets my needs."

Is it any wonder the 23rd Psalm has been such a comfort to so many for thousands of years? It's not just some nice little flowery poem. God's Word is powerful, true, and personally applicable for the believer.
The Lord is my shepherd,
  I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
  He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my soul;
  He guides me in the paths of righteousness
  For His name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
  I fear no evil, for You are with me;
  Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
  You have anointed my head with oil;
  My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me
  all the days of my life,
  And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalm 23
Paul reiterates this truth in the New Testament by saying, "And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus"
(Philippians 4:19).

God is so good! And we are in His unsurpassingly capable hands. We can rely on His Word. It's great to be a believer!

Leaning on the Lord,
