I Know That Voice!
Only those people who are led by God's Spirit are His children. Romans 8:14 CEV We live in a sight and sound generation, one that allows clamoring from around the globe to land right in our living rooms on the nightly news. And, even as we seek God and His will, there are many voices vying for our attention. However, the Bible says that we'll know the voice of God, our Shepherd, and we won't follow the voice of a stranger. (John 10:4-5)

As we navigate through the noise of each day, it's so reassuring that we have a supernatural, pure, and trustworthy navigation system. Infinitely better than the best GPS tracking, we have access to the leading of the very Spirit of God! What peace and security there is in this truth!

When a child hears the voice of his mother or father he doesn't say, "Hmmm, now that voice sounds vaguely familiar." No! He says, "I know that voice! Mommy! (or Daddy!)" This cry is announced with such confidence in no small part because these are the voices most familiar to him. These are the voices he has heard more often and more clearly than any other. They are the voices he can trust, voices rooted in such love for him. How much more should this be the case for each believer in relationship to God our Heavenly Father! But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul.
Deuteronomy 4:29 NASB
I love those who love Me; and those who diligently seek Me will find Me. Proverbs 8:17 NASB You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 NASB God is calling us onward, higher, forward—we need to know His will with clarity. Let's seek the Lord with our whole hearts. When we do, He promises that we'll find Him. As we become more familiar with His voice each day, we will go forth to change the world by His leading!
