Good Works.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
I've never had anybody come to me at any time in my ministry and tell me they tithed and discovered it's all a big joke and a big waste. In fact, I've only heard people say that they are glad they discovered it in the Word and did what God told them to do.
When you give tithes and offerings in this church,
you participate in the good works we are called to do. For example:
Teams have gone to tornado-devastated Pierce City, Missouri, to clean up debris. You've brought blessing to a community.
You've given more than $100,000 plus labor and materials to build a 10,000-seat church sanctuary in Harare, Africa. In May, 5,000 people attended a conference in that just-completed structure. You've made a tangible impact on a nation.
More than 800 peopleincluding over 640 skaterspacked in to our June Pavement Xtreme. Many held up their boards to signal they had received Jesus. You contributed to their
salvation.
Thousands of school children will have healthy lunches and a safe place to play through this summer's food program in St. Louis. You are serving a city.
These are the kinds of things that happen when people recognize the value of obedience and they do their part. You say you can't give
right now because you're in a hard place? That's a good time to give. Give out of your need or give out of your overflow. Start right now. God supplies.
He is faithful!
