Designed For Impact.
. . . But the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.
Daniel 11:32
There's no doubt about it, God has called you to a make a difference. You are a catalyst, a world-changer. Jesus is building His church, with each one of us doing our part and taking our places to be a a life-giving, world-impacting group of living stones in our generation.
There is something clearly identifiable in the life of King Hezekiah (2 Chronicles). He brought reform, produced change, and had an impact in his generation. There are three essentials in his life that propelled him out of mediocrity and the nation out of darkness and
lethargy:
Whole-heartedness. To not embrace this principle would be to embrace the opposite: apathy and mediocrity, which would then mean failure. God has not called us to fail.
Single-mindedness. To get away from this is to yield to distraction and lesser things, to become dabblers instead of focused and effective people.
A fighting spirit. God has called us to fight the good fight of faith and have a tenacity about us that's not rooted in our humanity. No matter your personality type, God will put a holy fire on the inside of you, a relentlessness backed with the Shield
of Faith and the Sword of the Spirit, to plow through whatever circumstances might come your way.
I believe God is looking for innovators who will break out of the old and realize that the Creator of the universe desires to use people who will yield and respond to Him; who will obey Him.
We are to follow Christ with our whole lives, to seek God and to pursue His will with every part of our lives: as parents, kids, spouses, friends, students, employees, business-owners, worshippers, servers, givers, Bible-readers, Jesus-loverswith
EVERY aspect of who we are!
Press on and do it!
