Changed.
Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him. Colossians 2:6
I once was alienated and separated from God. I had no hope and I was without God in the world (Ephesians 2:12). Then I had an encounter with Jesus and I asked Him to come into my life. That was my spiritual birthday. I was born in the flesh in 1956, and I was born in the spirit
in 1972.
When I was saved, something in my life changed. I still parted my hair on the same side and I still had blue eyes. I wasn't levitating off the floor or acting all spooky and mystical, and I still had things I had to work through. But one thing did change: my position and my relationship
to God. My spirit was now alive to connect to His spirit and I could "worship Him in spirit and truth" (John 4:24).
We are made spirit, soul, and body: Feelings are the voice of the body; reason is the voice of the soul; conscience is the voice of the spirit. God doesn't want us to be ruled by our bodies or the lusts and pleasures of the world (Titus 3:3-7).
Neither does He want us to be so cerebral and soulish that we are constantly leaning on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). God wants us to worship Him full on, using everything He's given uswith our whole being.
Think of it! We are now alive to God (Romans 6:11)! We once were dead and lost, but Jesus has brought us into forgiveness and righteousness (Luke 19:10). There's salvation in no other (Acts 4:12).
I wish every single person knew Him.
Thankful to know Jesus,
Pastor Jeff
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 2 Corinthians 5:17
