Beautiful Plans.
"For I know the plans that I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11 In England, thousands of people were recently polled and Jeremiah 29:11 is what they considered to be one of their favorite verses. In an era of hopelessness, this is what people are crying out for: the plan of God and hope.

Because God has set eternity in our hearts, every one of us is desperate for a sense of purpose and for the plan of God to come to pass in our lives. Some of us will admit it and some of us won't. I'm intrigued by the man I spoke with recently who said that up until four months ago he was an atheist, but he's had a real touch from God in his life. God created Him—and all of us—to work, and to serve, and to have a place in the Body of Christ. God has good plans for us, and they cannot be hindered (Job 42:2).

The Bible says that God has made everything beautiful in its time (Ecclesiastes 3:11). We don't have to regret that we don't live in some other era or wish we were somebody else. God is calling each one of us to His purposes.

The accuser of the brethren, the enemy of the Church, has worked very hard to chip away at the whole subject of God's having a plan for your life. Beginning straightaway with Adam and Eve, he planted the seed of doubt about whether or not to trust God and take Him at His Word. But we absolutely can trust God. Certainly, the God of the Universe—the Creator of beautiful works as massive as galaxies and as intricately minute as the tiny cells that morph into each unique, complex human being—is more than capable of crafting, sustaining, and ensuring the fulfillment of His beautiful plans for generations of mankind and for each one of us as individuals.

Thank God for His great big, beautiful plan for your life—live it out!
