Five Benefits for Believers

October 12, 2014

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 1:3

1. Eternal Life. “He who believes in the Son has eternal life” (John 3:36). The greatest benefit of all is that God sent Jesus on the great rescue mission so that we can be saved from eternal separation and darkness.

2. God’s Provision. The God who provided for His people in the Bible wants to take care of you today—He never changes. Life’s worries and cares constantly vie for our attention, but as we seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, God will meet our every need (Matthew 6:33).

3. Divine Protection. From the moment you wake up and wherever you go, you can believe for God’s protection. Psalm 91 is a powerful chapter about the security of those who abide in God’s presence. Read and confess it so much that it becomes built into the core of your memory.

4. Genuine Connection with God. Our relationship with God is the signature component of our lives. Jesus took the banishment and sin so we can have restored fellowship with God. If you haven’t been walking closely with Him, push the reset button today and step into the amazing vibrancy of connection with the Creator of the universe.

5. Equipped for Effective Service. “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you” (Acts 1:8). The purpose of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the early church was to make us effective and equip us for amazing service.

Pray this Prayer:
God, I connect with You today. I seek You and pursue You. You are the God of all hope (Romans 15:13) and You give power to the weak (Isaiah 40:29). I reach out now and receive all the blessing You have for me in every area of my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
